"I will give them a heart to know that I am the Lord, and they shall be my people and I will be their God, for they shall return to me with their whole heart." Jeremiah 24:7

Merry Christmas my friends!
Today I decided to read Malachi. It struck me how the priests were bringing blemished animals to the alter; basically the animals that were useless to them. But they were holding back the ones with no blemish for themselves.
I realized when God sent JESUS He did not send 2nd best or 3rd best or some scrappy Jesus. It was His very best- it was Himself. He did not hold back from man yet we hold back from Him. Somehow we pick and chose.
A dear friend told a story about a woman who’s husband finally said in desperation "what do you want?" His wife responded "I want it all." I realized that sometimes in desperation we say on our hearts, God for heaven sakes, what do you want? And, if we listen closely He says, "I want it all."
He gave us all- He never held back His best. I hope I can store this in my heart this Christmas but, more than that, my response to Him will be, "Yes, Lord!" no matter what. A daunting prayer if you really think about it: ALL, every bit!
Much love to all of you!
